Jacuzzi FILTER CLEANING GUIDE
A powerful filtration system is the first step in ensuring your massage bathtub water is both safe and sanitary. But to keep it running effectively, you will need to clean the massage bathtub filter cartridge regularly and replace it approx. every six months.
We recommend cleaning the hot tub filter one a month.The easiest way to clean your filter is to have a spare filter cartridge.
Get a spare alongside your initial hot tub spa purchase. When you’re cleaning the filter cartridge in use, pop in the spare so you don’t have any down time on theswimming pool. Keep rotating like this and buy a replacement when necessary.
Each filter has a life of around 6 months with regular use, so this way you won’t have to purchase any replacements for approx 1 year.
HOW TO GET THE FILTER CARTRIDGE OUT
Firstly, turn of the power at the breaker (the filter is pressurized – you do not want to open it with the power still on).
Loosen the air relief valve, and move the retainer ring
Pull the filter lid straight up to remove (do no twist or pull up at an angle, as this could cause damage)
Remove the filter cartridge from the canister.
HOW TO CLEAN THE FILTER CARTRIDGE
At SpaRelax we recommend using Immerse to clean your filter. This is designed to remove the grease and oils that built up on filters and can impair their filtration ability.
Leave the cartridge to soak for approx. 8 hours (overnight).
Take the cartridge out and rinse with a hose.
Leave to dry before replacing.
