1.Two bombs and one star

On October 16, 1964, China's first atomic bomb exploded successfully; on June 17, 1967, China's first hydrogen bomb air-blast test was successful; on April 24, 1970, China's first artificial satellite (Dongfanghong No. 1) was successfully launched.

2. Restoration of the UN seat
On October 25, 1971, at the 26th session of the UN General Assembly, the seat of the People’s Republic of China in the United Nations was restored. Confirm that the representative of the People’s Republic of China is the sole legal representative of China at the United Nations, and the People’s Republic of China is one of the five permanent members of the Security Council.

3. Manned space flight
On September 21, 1992, the Chinese government decided to implement the manned spaceflight project and named the project "921 Project."
On October 15, 2003, China’s first manned spacecraft, Shenzhou V, was successfully launched. China’s first astronaut, Yang Liwei, became the first Chinese visitor to the vast space.

4. Hong Kong and Macao return


On July 1, 1997, the People’s Republic of China resumed its sovereignty over Hong Kong and ended the British colonial rule in Hong Kong for a century. 5. Qinghai-Tibet Railway

The Qinghai-Tibet Railway is one of the four major projects in China's new century. It is the first railway to the hinterland of Tibet. It is also the highest altitude railway in the world with the longest route. The entire project was completed in two phases, and the entire line was opened on July 1, 2006.
Most of the Qinghai-Tibet line is in high-altitude areas and “life-forbidden areas”. The construction of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway successfully solved the three major problems of railway construction in the world: the geological structure of permafrost, the construction environment of cold and anoxic environment and the protection of fragile ecological environment.
6. Join the WTO
On November 10, 2001, at the Fourth Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Doha, Qatar, the legal documents on China’s accession to the WTO were adopted. It marked 15 years of hard work and China finally became the WTO. 7. 2008 Beijing Olympic Games

9. Domestic aircraft carrier
The aircraft carrier of Liaoning, referred to as the "Liaoning Ship", is China's first aircraft carrier. Its predecessor was the aircraft carrier of the Soviet Navy's Varyag. In 1999, China purchased the "Varyag" that was interrupted by the collapse of the Soviet Union and continued to build improvements. On September 25, 2012, it was officially renamed the Liaoning No. and began to serve in the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy.
On April 26, 2017, China's first self-built 002 aircraft carrier was officially launched in Dalian. It is the first domestically produced aircraft carrier in China's true sense, which marks a major breakthrough in the independent design of China's modern offshore combat platform.
10. Beidou satellite navigation system
China Beidou satellite navigation system is a global satellite navigation system developed by China itself. It is the fourth mature satellite navigation system after the US Global Positioning System (GPS), Russia, and European satellite navigation systems.
On November 5, 2017, China's third-generation navigation satellite was successfully launched. It marked the official start of China's construction of the Beidou global satellite navigation system. In 2018, China has successively launched a number of "Beidou" global networking satellites. On December 27, 2018, the service scope of the Beidou system officially expanded from the region to the world, and the Beidou system officially entered the global era.
